2.1 Information you provide directly

  • Account information: name, email address, password, date of birth and profile photo
  • Profile information: artist name, bio, links to music platforms and social networks
  • Content you post: photos, videos, text, comments and any other material you upload to the App
  • Communications: messages you send through event chats or other App features

  • Location data: when you grant location permissions, we collect your real-time geographic location, even when the App is running in the background, to detect your attendance at events via GPS. This is a core feature of the App
  • Usage data: pages visited, saved events, followed artists, usage time, clicks and other interactions within the App
  • Device information: device type, operating system, App version, unique device identifiers and IP address
  • Attendance data: records of the events you attended, automatically detected through geolocation
  • Referral data: if you arrived at the App through another user's referral link, we record that referral

2.3 Information from third parties

If you connect your Clapp account with third-party platforms such as Spotify, SoundCloud or Instagram, we may receive information from those platforms according to the permissions you grant. This information may include your username, profile photo and music preferences.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information collected to:

  • Provide the service: register your account, detect your attendance at events, show you a personalized feed and allow you to interact with other users and artists
  • Personalization: recommend events and artists based on your location, musical tastes and attendance history
  • Data for venues and artists: generate anonymous and aggregated audience statistics for venues and artists using our B2B platform
  • Communications: send you notifications about events, App updates and service-related communications
  • Security: detect and prevent fraud, abuse and unauthorized activity
  • Product improvement: analyze usage patterns to improve the App
  • Legal compliance: comply with applicable legal obligations

4. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We may share your information in the following cases:

4.1 With venues and artists (aggregated and anonymous data)

We share attendance statistics and audience data with venues and artists in aggregated and anonymous format. This means we never share your name or personally identifiable information with a venue. We only share metrics such as "X people attended this event" or "your audience has these musical interests."

4.2 With service providers

We work with technology providers who process data on our behalf, including cloud services (AWS), analytics and communications. These providers are contractually obligated to protect your information and use it only for the purposes we specify.

4.3 With third-party platforms

If you connect your account with Spotify, SoundCloud or other platforms, their own privacy policies apply. We recommend reviewing them.

4.4 By legal requirement

We may disclose your information when required by law, court order or competent authority.

4.5 In case of corporate transfer

In the event of a merger, acquisition or asset sale, your information may be transferred to the new holder, who will be bound by this Privacy Policy.

5. Location Data: Important Information

Automatic event attendance detection is a core feature of Clapp and requires access to your background location. Specifically:

  • The App may access your location even when you are not actively using it
  • We use algorithms to determine whether you were present at an event based on your location and the time you spent in the area
  • We never share your exact real-time location with third parties
  • Location data is used to record attendance, personalize recommendations and generate audience statistics
  • You may revoke location permissions at any time from your device settings. If you do so, we will not be able to automatically record your attendance

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account:

  • Your profile and public content will be deleted within 30 days
  • Historical attendance data that already forms part of aggregated statistics may be retained in anonymous form
  • We may retain certain information when required by law or to resolve pending disputes

7. Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, loss or alteration. However, no security system is infallible and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your information.

Clapp Labs Inc. is incorporated in Delaware, United States. Your data may be processed and stored on servers located outside your country of residence. By using the App, you agree that your data may be transferred to and processed in the United States or other countries where we operate.
